PR and Communicating

Watching the updates of the Covid-19 pandemic situation, from infections, deaths, recoveries to important advisory on #stayathome, to mask or not to mask, not to horde by the Ministry of Health’s Director-General and the Police Department every few hours in a day for the past 7 days – it certainly was rather effective – the general population of Malaysians have indeed heeded instructions and having complied to the unwavering messages meant that we are helping to flatten the curve. Slowly but surely.

You can say that constant communication of each message is proven to perpetuate any advice that needs to be taken seriously. Try stopping the communication, then it is out of people’s minds and you see old unwanted habits coming back to possibly dominate people’s behaviour once again.

Like with the compliance program in any organization, the Digital Transformation model “Access. Engage. Customize. Connect. Collaborate.” helps the leadership communicate its compliance culture consistently and effectively. Any company that is serious about their commitment to anti-corruption cannot give up on communication but be more resourceful in elevating their communication strategies.
